TENON Unveils First Vertical Seaming Machine Prototype at China Glass 2025

Beijing, China – May 29, 2025 – At China Glass 2025, TENON officially unveiled its highly anticipated

Vertical Seaming Machine, marking the first public debut of this innovative solution. As the market

has long speculated when Tenon would bring a vertical model to the table, this prototype launch

signals a strategic step forward in the company’s automation roadmap.

The new vertical seaming machine, currently in its prototype stage, is not yet in mass production but has

already generated significant buzz within the industry. Tenon previously disrupted the market with

its Horizontal Seaming Machine, which received strong global praise and reshaped industry standards.

Expectations are now high that this vertical version will once again redefine the seaming

market and reinforce Tenon’s role as an industry trendsetter.

Unlike horizontal models, the vertical seaming machine caters to a growing preference in Europe and

other global regions for vertical formats due to their space efficiency and streamlined integration

into modern production lines. The machine is designed not only for insulating glass (IG) production lines

but also for general architectural tempered glass applications, making it as versatile as a glass cutting

table in terms of demand and usage.

“With the seaming process being critical in both IG and tempered glass manufacturing, this

vertical solution positions us to meet global market needs more effectively,” said a Tenon

Sales Manager Nancy Ma. “As a leader in glass processing innovation, Tenon continues to

invest in next-generationautomation that drives quality, flexibility, and long-term

value for our customers.”

The Vertical Seaming Machine is expected to open new revenue channels, particularly in regions

where vertical configurations are becoming the industry norm. With this launch, Tenon once

again demonstrates its ability to anticipate market trends and lead the

glass machinery sector into the future.
